How it Works with Dubai Expatriate Wills
We offer a personal service, even if we never meet in person. Every legal document we create is drafted by a qualified barrister, not a piece of software and not at barrister prices or even Dubai prices for that matter. We offer a number of ways for you to save money on expert legal advice and the right Will for your circumstances.
You get a free, no obligation personal consultation. We can write your Will ‘at distance’ using phone, Skype: ExpatWills, email & PDF, Fax, the post or through an online form. You chose what suits you best. Your situation as an expatriate is a very important factor in the ‘jigsaw’ but with that in mind we can find the right approach for your situation whilst you are in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). N.B. procedures vary for other products such as LPAs.
We draft your Will and send it to you to read and sign. Your Will is drafted by a real person, not a computer programme. So, if you have questions, we can give you answers in plain English. If you need something changed or need to discuss a particular point that you are unsure about, we can talk through it together.
Attestation
After we have drawn up your Will, we send it to you for signatures (attestation). You can chose to have it delivered to you by email in PDF form for you to print out or we can send you a ‘bound’ Will at an additional cost. When you get your Will all you need to do is follow the instructions we give you for signing it with your witnesses and send it back to us for review and secure storage.
Free 1st year secure storage
Your first year of secure Will storage is included free of charge. While you continue to store your Will us, you will be able to make minor updates to it free of charge (small shipping/admin fee may apply). Our storage is very secure. It is fire-proof, water-proof, and fully insured. Storing your will with us means that it can be easily located and is accessible to your executors when the time comes.
Storage after the first year is 200 AED or £35 per year.
What if things change or I need more information?
Most situations are fairly straightforward even though you are an ex pat living in the UAE. However, if you any need further advice, if things change or if you just want more information, we can talk you through it as part of the service.
If you need to update your Will at any time while it is stored with us, you can make updates free of charge.
How much does a Will cost?
We are always honest and will give you a fair quotation during your free initial consultation.
If your situation is fairly straightforward (husband, wife, children), prices for a pair of mirror Wills are from 1300 AED or £215 The price for a single Will is 800 AED or £130.
In all cases, the first year of secure storage is included in the price and free updates whilst your Will remains safely stored with us.
Whatever you choose, you will always get the same personal service and gain the peace of mind that comes with putting your affairs in good order which is so important if you are living in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman or anywhere else in the UAE.
